Dr. Lieberman receives "Mentor of the Year" from Harlem Children Society

Dr. Leslie Sue Lieberman was the recipent of the Harlem Children Society, 2007 Mentor of
the Year Award. Six (6) students from Harlem Children Society interned at UCF the month of July 2007.
This award really recognizes the efforts of many individuals at the University of Central Florida. Ms. Fran Ragsdale, in the Women's Research Center arranged the housing, meal plans and interacted with the HCS Summer Interns, their parents and numerous faculty and staff at UCF. The intellectual and skills development of the Summer Interns was overseen by Drs. Raj Vaidyanathan, Ron Eaglin, Martin Wanielista, Jay Kapat, Artem Masunov, their pre and post doctoral students and myself. Additional support for recreational and cultural activities came from Drs. Nancy Rudner, Natalie Underberg, Jill Norburn and Elayne Zorn. Dr. Lieberman is indebted to all of these colleagues for their joint efforts in making the UCF experience intellectually rewarding and fun for Ms. Diana Roldan, Ms. Michelle Johnson, Ms. Princess Kara Parker-Smith. Mr. Christian Garcia, Mr. Ivan Schoop and Mr. Littin Kandoth.
